ABC Nightly News Features BLINK of an Eye Family Member’s Story

Collin Bosse, one of our BLINK of an Eye family members, was recently featured on ABC Nightly News nationwide. Our BLINK SCI Navigator who has worked with Collin and the Bosse family is Mike Uppenkamp.

24-year-old Californian Colin Bossy shares his inspiring story of determination after a tragic surfing accident left him paralyzed from the chest down. Last year, while swimming with friends, Collin dived into shallow, murky water, resulting in a traumatic spine injury (SCI). Undeterred, Colin worked with a team of volunteers to build a custom-made surfboard controlled by his forearms. Against all odds, Colin successfully rode the waves for the first time since his accident. Despite the initial coldness, Colin felt a sense of being at home again and expressed gratitude for the experience. His perseverance serves as an inspiration to others.
